2013 Jubilee Rally
Coughton Court

A bright hot and sunny day in Staffordshire on Sunday 30th June saw the biggest rally in the Club’s history as 113 P6s drove into the grounds of Coughton Court for the biggest “Roverfest” witnessed in recent history. In addition to the superb display of P6s we were blessed with a whole world of Rovers including bicycles, pre-war, P2s, P3s, P4s, P5s, SD1s, 200s, 400s and 75s and many many others. A whole contingent of journalists were present including Danny Hopkins, Sam Glover and Nick Larkin of Practical Classics, a contingent from Central Television (yes, we were on the news on Sunday evening) and very many more.

As part of the 50th anniversary celebrations, we invited and we were blown away by the response from the ex-Rover Company employees who turned up to celebrate with us and their old colleagues. They all posed for a photograph between the two FLKs in front of the fabulous backdrop of Coughton Court house.

Being a part of the JRC (Joint Rover Clubs) enables us to team up with other car clubs like the Rover Sports Register to create fantastic shows such as this. It provides greater opportunity, greater interaction between clubs and of course greater enjoyment on the day.
